About this service
Developed in the USA in the 1980s, Sound Refocus can be used by anyone age 15 and up: from students to business owners, teachers to executives, and athletes at any level. Sound Refocus can boost concentration, memory, learning ability, and sleep; help with mind wandering; and deepen meditation with a remarkable work of bilateral brain balancing. Through ultrasonic frequencies, Sound Refocus resonates throughout your body, bypassing your hearing system and stimulating the inner ear saccule. This technology is at the forefront of one of the hottest areas of scientific research, while following an old principle: ultrasonic vibrations and frequencies that resonate throughout your body.
2 different ultrasound frequencies are used:
- One for high concentration and focus: high Fibonacci.
- One for deep relaxation and sleep aid: low Fibonacci.
About the Fibonacci series:
The sounds you'll hear during the service are based on the famous Fibonacci sequence. The Fibonacci sequence owes its name to the 13th century Italian mathematician Leonardo Fibonacci. It is a series of numbers in which any number (starting from the third) is equal to the sum of the two preceding ones: 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89 , ...
The Golden Number: If we make a ratio of 2 consecutive numbers in the series (Fn/Fn1), the result approaches the Golden Number = 1.618033 ... when n tends to infinity.
Examples: 1/1 = 1; 2/1 = 2; 21/13 = 1.615; 987/610 = 1.618032 ...
The Golden Number is designated by the Greek letter phi in homage to the Greek architect and sculptor Phidias, who gave us the Parthenon and the Olympian statue of Zeus. The Greeks and Pythagoreans used it as a symbol of universal harmony, life, love and beauty; they believed it to be the number of creation.
Preparing for the Service
The recommended usage varies depending on how many times you have done the service: between 5 and 30 minutes per session, starting with 5 minutes and progressing up to 30 minutes per session.
If environmental conditions are optimal, tests have shown that most people enter a deep alpha state within 30 seconds.
As with all of our services, we recommend drinking plenty of water both before and after the session, which helps with the elimination of toxins released during the service.
Contraindications
We request that you do not use this equipment if you have one of the following contraindicated conditions. Risks are not limited to the following so please consult your physician if in any doubt:
- Epilepsy
- Recently diagnosed neurological condition (not yet treated)
